The Half Moon, SW15 1EU , [Venue Details]Country In The Afternoon returns on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May with an international line-up that will provide an exciting variety of country and americana music over the two afternoons.
Hayley Jensen is an award-winning country artist who shot to fame as a top finalist on Australian Idol, and later made a ‘chair turning’ return to the small screen on The Voice where she was dubbed ‘the whole package’ by her coach, Kylie Minogue.
The 2024 UK AMA ‘Emerging Artist of the year’, Jonny Morgan, is an Indie singer/songwriter who has found his unique Americana sound after spending much of his life hopping across the Atlantic.
Katie Whittaker is an award-nominated country, pop, and Americana artist whose heartfelt songwriting and commanding stage presence have captivated audiences across the UK. Based in Perth, Katie has performed at prestigious venues and festivals like C2C, Glastonbury, Glasgow Americana, Belladrum, and The British Country Music Festival.
In 2018, the Tennessee Twin song ‘Wings of Red White & Blue’ won the British Airways/Nashville Music City song-writing competition, taking them to record in Nashville, Tennessee and their debut EP ‘Tips In A Jar’ went straight into the iTunes UK Country Chart at No.1 the following year.
